Tor Browser Root problem

I was going to install a Tor Browser on my linux debian VB and when I wanted to run it, it showed me that:

Edit the script that runs tor via an editor(leafpad,texteditor)
Find the IF statement that is making tor not open on root and delete it.
Save the file and run tor again.
It opens normally

I don’t think you are supposed to run Tor as a root user.
