Could not write pid to lock file in /tmp/.tx0-lock FIX

So I had an odd thing happen today. I go to login my Kali Linux virtual machine. I put in my encryption password pass authentication and login to my user account and when I “startx” I get this error.

Could not write pid to lock file in /tmp/.tx0-lock… Fails to login. After chasing my tail around the net for awhile. I find that my virtual machine VHD was completely full do to Zap scan I had run the night before. What I learnt was to check system cache and always make sure to allocate enough space to do your work also to clone your virtual machine. Use a fresh V.M for each project.
