Tor was released in 2012 but i found some non-indexed websites from 2008
So how was it possible to access those websites before tor release?
Was it when tor was released or when Tor was released.
Meaning tor or the browser bundle.

there are other ways to access the deep web, tor just made it easier to get to through a central application. Through the correct methods there are ways, though i couldnt tell you exactly how.
the deep web has been accessable and used since pretty much the beginning of the internet once people realized that they could put up websites without allowing them to be indexed through regular internet. Freenet and the clear webare alternatives to the darknet and often can contain what would be considered ‘dark net’ content.
