Why is metasploit so slow in windows as compared to linux?

Short answer:Metasploit is not configured for Windows
Long answer:You can get the maximum performance out of Metasploit framework by using a linux distro since it was developped to work on linux,you are only emulating the process in windows and not using the original tool
